Care that supports you through the process of becoming a parent.
Care that sees your laundry mountain / spit up stains / dark circles under your eyes.
Care that offers you a space to rest / to rage / to cry / to drink your coffee hot.
Because your experience of matrescence matters.

Who We Are
We are here for the parents.
We are a clinic committed to supporting folks who want to be parents / are new parents / are seasoned parents / or are grieving their hopes of becoming a parent.
Mental health outcomes of parents directly impact their children. Matrescence is the normal adjustment process of thinking about, engaging in, and going through steps to become a parent. It can also be really really hard.

Social Justice
The social determinants of health greatly affect assess to mental health and wellness support; and also, a parent’s ability to care for children.
For now, we work to address these gaps in access through sliding scale, outreach initiatives, and a systemic and anti-oppressive approach to therapy. However, there is always more work to do.
Care
You are caring for the next generation. Who is caring for you?
Care work and the care economy are vital parts of our society and are often disregarded or undervalued. Care workers (both paid and unpaid) are often at risk of burnout or compassion fatigue due to the nature of their work and how it is regarded in society. The health and wellness of all care workers matters here.
Love is Love
All families are welcome here. We are 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming and will work with you to best support your family.
“We, in our culture, give ourselves permission to grieve the death of someone, not the birth of someone. But it’s true that with the joy of motherhood also comes a significant amount of loss and grief.
To truly step into any new identity in our lives, we must leave an often-cherished former identity behind. In this way, we are grieving the death of someone: ourselves.”
