What We Offer
We offer individual therapy sessions for adults 18+ at our office space in Calgary, and by video session in Alberta and Ontario.
-
Worry is a normal part of becoming a parent.
But if the agitation feels like too much to handle, or spinning / scary thoughts are keeping you up all night, it might be time for some extra support.
You are not a bad parent. You are a good parent, having a hard time.
-
Huge hormonal shifts, lack of sleep, and changes to your environment and social circles are a part of the parental adjustment process and affect how we feel.
The “baby blues” are normal. However, if feelings of sadness, overwhelm, and guilt are happening more than you would like, you can ask for help.
The lack of the feeling of love, does not mean a lack of love for your baby. We can find that feeling of love again.
-
You know you love your partner. But maybe now that you are pregnant or postpartum, the way they chew their food makes you want to rip your hair out.
Or, it feels like everything your partner does is completely the wrong way to do it.
Or, you are so mad at anyone and everyone because now that a tiny human has been added to your life, your mental load has increased 10-fold. It feels like you are drowning and it is impossible to ask for help.
It is okay to ask for help.
-
Whether you are experiencing grief for a pregnancy loss, grief from infertility challenges, or grief for the person you used to be before entering matrescence; it all has a place here.
Grief can feel powerful / maddening / otherworldly AND has to exist within our day-to-day lives. It might feel like there is no space for it when (waves hands) everything else is going on. Your grief is valid here.
-
An understatement: “Being / becoming a parent is stressful.”
As humans, we were never meant to parent in isolation. Community and social supports are a huge contributor to parental wellness and success.
Overwhelm, does not have to be the backdrop to your day-to-day. We can work with your resources, find new supports, and create a plan to help you manage the stress.
-
Trauma from birth, infertility, or loss can leave you feeling powerless. You might be avoiding your doctor’s office, distancing yourself from your partner, or having nightmares that leave you feeling drained.
Or, maybe the care you received throughout fertility treatments / pregnancy / birth / postpartum left you feeling like things just didn’t go right, were scary or unexplained, or left you feeling more like a number than a human.
At your own pace, we can explore how this trauma affects you and start to rewrite the narrative.

What to Expect from our Therapy Process
Free Meet + Greet
Choose your own adventure between an optional 15-minute free consultation or diving right into a New Client Intake Session.
This Meet + Greet allow you to get to know your therapist, assess the vibe, and ask any questions you may have.
Intake Session
During the 75-minute New Client Intake Session, we will review your intake questionnaire, go over informed consent, look at some scales, and explore what goals you would like to work toward in therapy.
Check-In Every 4 Sessions
Every 4 sessions, your therapist will check in with you and review the changes (or steps toward change) we are making. We will check-in with your therapy goals, and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
Collaborative Treatment Adjustments
Feedback is always welcome. If something isn’t sitting right, or you would like to try something different in session, your therapist is always game to change things up so that the work we do in session is relevant and supportive for you.
The Best Breakup You’ve Ever Had
When you are feeling like your goals are met and you are ready to say goodbye, your therapist will work with you to create a transition plan back to your regular day-to-day. What a beautiful thing it is to have a chance to say goodbye.
Of course, you are always welcome to rebook for check-in sessions, or if there is something new you want to work on.
